On Jun 7, 2023, the Myanmar Women Parliamentarians Network virtually met with the Sri Lankan Women Parliamentarians’ Caucus and discussed the matters of gender equality, women inclusion, and protection women in conflict affected areas from sexual violence. This meeting aims to build a relationship and further collaboration between two organizations. Sri Lanka Parliament’s secretary general, Ms. Kushani Rohanadeera provided an opening remark and 12 members of the caucus including the chairwoman, Hon. (Dr.) Sudarshini Fernandopulle, and vice chairwomen Hon. (Dr.) Seetha Arambepola and Hon. (Mrs.) Rohini Kumari Wijerathna. The network coordinator Daw Aye Mya Mya Myo explained about the Myanmar Women Parliamentarians Network and the spokesperson Daw Myat Thida Htun discussed collaboration and way forwards. The network member Daw Evelyn concluded the meeting with a thank-you speech and 66 members of the Myanmar Women Parliamentarians Network joined the meeting.
